A century ago, a well-off Daisy would have stayed at home to raise children (with a servant's help), while a poorer cousin might have lived in a boarding house and worked as a typist. Here the dolls wear outfits belonging to Jody, an Old-Fashioned Girl: the white dress with pink underskirt was sold with Jody and her parlour, the outfit at right with Jody's General Store. (Daisy's fraternal twins are actually erasers.)
